Aeydē has only been around since 2015 but in those three years has made fashion's footwear offering far more thrilling. The Berlin-based brand was founded by Luisa Krogmann and Constantin Langholz-Baikousis, whose mission was to offer contemporary, subtle and distinctive designs – think snakeskin cowboy boots, kicky patent heels, architectural shapes and off-kilter uppers.

Now with 36k Instagram followers (and counting), the brand continues to go from strength to strength, from producing a capsule collection with influencer Lucy Williams to being stocked at the likes of Net-A-Porter and Moda Operandi.

While the products are manufactured at family-owned factories in Italy's Marche region, the small team dreaming up the covetable designs are based in the heart of Berlin. We asked Luisa for her guide to Germany's capital, from the best place to dance 'til the early hours to the stores to hunt for vintage treasures.

Click through to see her Berlin recommendations.

Where should we go for a nightcap?

I love Green Door in Schöneberg.

Where's the best place to enjoy the sunshine?

One of the lakes around Berlin – I particularly love Liepnitzsee.

Which area should we stay in?

I would stay in Mitte, in the Gorki Apartments.

We want to go vintage shopping – where should we go?

Rianna in Berlin, at Große Hamburger Straße – you'll find the most beautiful vintage Prada and Saint Laurent pieces.

Where can we make the most of nature?

If you have enough time I would travel to Potsdam. It takes 30 minutes to get there from Berlin. It is a beautiful city with lots of history, nature and lakes.

The best coffee in town?

I love love love Die Rösterei in Mitte. I get my morning coffee there every day.

Where can we go swimming?

I'd head to the new swimming pool in Oderberger Straße or Gartenstraße.

We want some traditional cuisine...

You must go to Clärchens Ballhaus, probably the most traditional old Berlin restaurant. Easy food but with a bistro quality.

Where can we find the best interiors to improve our Insta feed?

You need to go to Suarezstraße in Wilmersdorf, where you'll find a super nice old vintage furniture store, Design 54. It's my favourite.

What’s Berlin’s best kept secret?

The hidden art galleries all over town – the best places to go would be Potsdamer Straße or the Boros Bunker of the Boros family.

What’s your favourite food spot?

Dudu – order the special tuna roll.

We want to go dancing, where should we hit up?

Kater Blau. It’s a restaurant and club combined with a great atmosphere.

Is there a tourist spot worth the hype?

Yes! The St Agnes art gallery is housed in a Brutalist church and is absolutely monumental – well worth a visit.
