Think your meagre holiday budget limits you to cheap flights to cities in Europe that you've never heard of? Think again. Over the past few years, a number of European airlines have been adding long-haul destination after long-haul destination to their roster.
The most famous long-haul budget carrier is Norwegian Air who, in 2016, became the first budget airline to offer flights across the Atlantic. Over time, they've added to their destination list and other airlines like WOW, Level and Eurowings have followed suit. Now, it's not just Boston and Chicago you can get to from the UK for the same price as a cross-country train ticket, it's Singapore, the Dominican Republic and even Mauritius.
Because the weather in the UK is so depressing right now, it's the perfect time to look ahead and start booking your summer hols. So we've pulled together a list of places you can fly to from the UK for under £200.

Miami
Norwegian Air offers one-way trips to Miami (alright, Fort Lauderdale, 31 miles north – sue us) from £129. WOW Air does the same flight from Edinburgh to Miami for £165.99. Sure, you've got to stop in Iceland on the way, but dropping in to say hi to the first country to enforce equal pay for women is no bad thing.
Singapore
The first east Asian place to get low-cost flights from Europe (although there are plenty of ways to get around east Asia on a budget once you're there – check out Asia Air X, Spice, Peach and Scoot Airlines). Flights from London to the impeccably clean city-state start from £159 on Norwegian Air.
Los Angeles
Norwegian Air (those guys have really got this corner of the market sewn up) is offering one-way flights between Hollywood and Gatwick from as little as £129.90. WOW Air goes from Edinburgh via R eykjavik for £169.
Montreal
Go and visit the land of Justin Trudeau with WOW Air for just £139.99. Sure, it might be a tad chilly but what's a couple of inches of snow when you can get your hands on Montreal's famous pizzaghetti? (Yes, that is pizza with spaghetti on.)
San Francisco
Icelandic WOW Air is really upping its game with its one-way flights to San Fran from Edinburgh (via Iceland) for just £175.99. This tech-headquarters of a city is so far in the future, it recently passed a rule limiting where robots can set foot.
New York
Far be it from us to extol the virtues of what is surely one of the greatest cities in the world. You already know you want to go; it's just how to get there. Check out Norwegian Air, where flights go from £139.
Las Vegas
Party city Vegas is either top of your list of places to go, or you'd rather avoid it like the plague. If you do think you can handle Sin City, Norwegian Air goes from £180 one-way.
Dubai
A similarly Marmite-esque place. Dubai, like Las Vegas, isn't everyone's cup of tea. If you do fancy posh cocktails and fancy beaches, though, then travel there for as little as £163.73 on WOW Air.
Dominican Republic
As good for hiking in the mountains as it is for relaxing on the beach. Head to this Caribbean island from €179.16 (£158) from Barcelona on Level Air or from London for £189 on Eurowings.
Cuba
From the enchantingly picturesque Havana to the beaches of Varadero, Cuba is fast becoming one of the world's most alluring tourist destinations. Get to Havana or Varadero on Eurowings for £154.99.
Mauritius
Smack bang in the middle of the Indian Ocean, this tiny island may be isolated but it has sun all year round, beaches you can only dream of and food you won't forget in a hurry. £199.99 on Eurowings sounds like an absolute bargain.
